Absolutely nothing, it is an abomination

It needs to be much smaller scale with more open space, lower building height and much fewer flats. You can't put that many people in such a small space. It is totally out of scale for the Pop of Edgware

I want you to leave the Broadwalk alone and not go ahead with this as planned and totally rethink it.

Lovely non chain interesting shops and parkland

I am so upset about the planned development and can't understand how anyone can do this to Edgware. It is totally out of f character with the local area.

1. What do you like about the proposed masterplan for Edgware Town Centre?

Very little. Whilst the are needs additional housing, this plan, that dumps Canary Wharf into a suburban area brings absolutely nothing to the current residents, indeed it will reduce the quality of life.

2. Is there anything you’d like to change about our masterplan for Edgware Town Centre?

Pretty well everything. Leave the wild habitat alone. Leave at least as many car parking spaces as you started with. Enable off street unloading and loading of busses instead of further gumming up Station Road. Remove all housing higher than Premier House. Provide more houses with gardens. Forget a concrete park, there are some very good existing ones already. Spend the Section 106 money exclusively in Edgware.

3. We want to make Edgware a more pleasant place for everyone. What would you like to see in the future town centre to make Edgware more fun and welcoming?

Easier access to off street parking (and more not less) will mean visitors can get straight into Edgware and not queue. Forget making Edgware car free. There isn't any other part of outer London that is car free and it won't work. More busses into a proper off street unloading bay, the current two only bays cause other busses to queue and block the roads.

4. What kind of businesses and operators would you like to see operating in the commercial, community and leisure spaces in the proposed Edgware Town Centre?

That one is out of your hands as retail becomes more online. By the time this is done, it will be cafes, lunch and evening restaurants, events (weddings etc) venues, nail bars and tattoo parlours. A few local independents may survive, but won't want to pay Ballymore rents. The rest will be 24 hours convenience shops, of which there are already a lot.

Why? This is not the level of development on Stonegrove (previous housing regenerated), Brent Cross Town (previous industrial, railway yards and waste transfer) of Sainsbury's in the Hyde, Colindale. So why here? Not even Croydon town centre looks like this and the five towns of South London (Kingston, Sutton, Croydon, Bromley and Bexley) are discrete town centres. Edgware is not, no matter what the London plan says. This is a travesty that cause havoc to the existing and new residents long after the developers and supporting politicians have packed up and retired to the leafy sections of Surrey where they will spend their dotage objecting to even a small extension to the house next door as not in keeping and over develpment.

Nothing, it does not sound good

Yes. It should be scaled back drastically. It should take account of people's needs for open space and infrastructure and their need not to be overshadowed by high rise buildings and dense populations.

Space. More parking. Open views.

Supermarkets, popular fashion shops such as H&M. Good bookshops .

The current plans are ridiculous and do not respect people's human need for space, views, health and education services. They must not go ahead.

EVERYTHING RUNNING ON A THEME OF GREEN ENERGY AND SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLE,,QUIET RESERVED, RESPONSIBLE VIBE WHICH IS A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS. FAR LESS EMPHASIS ON CURRENT MODES OF ENTERTAINMENT, MORE FOCUSED ON SAFE, EARTH FRIENDLY FUN

EVERY BUSINESS WHOSE FOCUS is CLIMATE FRIENDLY

SUSTAINABLE LIVING PROMOTING SO A CENTRE FOR PLANT BASED COOKING, REGENERATIVE IDEAS INCORPORATED INTO ALL BUSINESSES, SOLAR PANELS ON BUSINESS BUILDINGS, etc

It is dangerous. Please do not interfere with the Broadwalk or high street. Build elsewhere. Edgware high street and Broadwalk is needed. Sincerely
